Governor Jim Doyle signed the 2007-09 biennial State budget into law on October 26 in a ceremony at the UW Memorial Student Union. The budget includes approval of the statewide Family Care expansion initiative. The Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services has announced the results from a Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit entities interested in beginning the process of certification to provide health and long-term care services in 27 counties. The three community organizations in the Family Partnership Care Management Coalition – Care Wisconsin, Community Care and Community Living Alliance – all responded to the RFP. The Dodge County Human Services and Health Department will offer two public Town Halls on Family Care, Thursday, Nov. 15, at 1 pm and 4:30 pm. Both sessions will take place at Green Valley Enterprises, located in Beaver Dam. Also participating in the Town Halls are the community organizations from FPCMC, Care Wisconsin and Community Living Alliance.
